EARTH DAY PHOTO CONTEST SPONSORED BY CEA IS A CONTEST OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES OR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER (19 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER IN ALABAMA AND NEBRASKA).

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST.

1. Contest Dates: The contest opens April 1, 2011, with submissions due by 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on April 17, 2011. Finalists in each category will be selected by a panel of judges by April 18, 2011. The judges will then select one winner from each category. Online voting, open from April 18, 2011 through April 21, 2011 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time, will determine a people’s choice winner from each category. Winners will be announced on April 22, 2011.
   
2. Contest Entity: Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), 1919 S. Eads St., Arlington, VA 22202. Prize Provider: CEA.
   
3. Eligibility: Contestants may submit one (1) photo and one (1) video, but may only win once. Submitting a photo or video in this contest is open only to persons who, as of date of entry are legal residents of one of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, at least 18 years of age or older (19 years of age or older in Alabama and Nebraska). Employees of Contest Entity, its subsidiaries, sales representatives, advertising, promotion and all other service agencies involved with design, execution or fulfillment of this Contest, and members of the immediate families (defined for these purposes as parents, children, siblings and spouse) or households (whether related or not) of any of the above are NOT eligible to participate.
   
4. How to Enter: To enter the Contest in the photo category, take a digital photo or choose an existing digital photo. To enter the Contest in the video category, take a digital video or choose an existing digital video. Please submit photographs to photocontest@CE.org. We do not accept photographs submitted through the mail. Please upload your video to YouTube.com and send a link to your video to photocontest@CE.org. You may be required to submit the digital file as a condition of winning. Submit no more than one (1) digital photograph and one (1) digital video. We do not accept more than one contestant per email address for each category.
   
   Photographs must be in .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format. Files submitted may be no larger than 2,048k (2Mb). Videos must be less than three (3) minutes and uploaded to YouTube.com.   
   
5. Requirements: Copyright and Other Important Requirements: Your Photo/Video Submission must be your own original work and property and may not contain any commercial copyrighted images. By entering the Contest, you represent and warrant to Sponsor that: (a) your Photo/Video Submission is your original work and that you own all rights, including copyright rights, in your Photo/Video Submission; (b) Your Photo/Video Submission does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights or any other legal or moral rights of any third party; (c) Your Photo/Video Submission has not been entered in or won previous contests or awards; (d) Your Photo/Video Submission has not been published or previously distributed in any media; (e) Your Photo/Video Submission does not contain any defamatory, libelous, indecent, illegal or obscene material; and (f) you have obtained permission from each person whose name, image, or likeness (collectively, "Likeness") is included in your Photo/Video Submission, such person(s) have granted you all necessary rights to use their Likeness as described in these Official Rules, and you can make written copies of such permissions available to the Sponsor upon request. (If the Likeness of a minor is included in your Photo/Video Submission, such grant of rights must include written permission from the minor's parent or legal guardian authorizing the use of the minor's Likeness.)
   
   Photo/Video Submissions deemed by the Contest Entity in their sole discretion to be immoral, obscene, indecent, profane or not in keeping with Contest Entity's image will be disqualified. Contest Entity reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry at any time which, in the Contest Entity's opinion, endangers the safety or well being of any person, or fails to comply with these Official Rules.
   
   Contest Entity and/or their designated representatives, will review all Photo/Video Submissions received during the Photo/Video Submission Period and will remove any of those Photo/Video Submissions on the Contest Web Site located at (www.DigitalTips.org) that do not conform to these Official Rules and the Terms of Use and Code of Conduct (collectively, the "Official Rules”), as determined by the Sponsors in their sole discretion ("Eligible Photo/Video Submissions”). Entries that do not comply with these Official Rules, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion, will be disqualified from the Contest and may not appear on the Contest Web Site. Decisions of the Sponsors are final and binding.
   
6. Determining Winners: The four (4) prize winners will be determined by a combination of judges and an online vote. Beginning April 18, 2011 a panel of judges will select the top photo and video with the winner in each category announced on April 22, 2011. Beginning April 18, 2011 online voting will take place to determine a people’s choice winner in each category. The Prize Winners will be announced at http://www.digitaltips.org/ on or about April 22, 2011. Designation as a prize winner is subject to proof of compliance with Official Rules, maintaining compliance with these Official Rules and approval by Contest Entity.
   
7. Rights Granted to Sponsor: By entering the Contest, you agree and irrevocably grant to Contest Entity and its affiliates and their respective assigns, agents and licensees (collectively, the "Contest Entity Parties"), the unconditional, royalty-free right and license to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, edit, exhibit, create derivative works and otherwise use or reuse your Photo Submission, throughout the world, in perpetuity, in any media, including, without limitation, the Internet.
   
   Except where prohibited, by entering the Contest you also irrevocably agree that the Contest Entity may use your name, likeness, voice, photograph and any statements regarding your Photo/Video Submission and participation in the Contest (collectively, "Your Likeness") throughout the world, in perpetuity, in any media, without limitation or compensation to you. By entering the Contest, you permanently waive all intellectual property rights, privacy/publicity rights and other legal or moral rights that might preclude the Contest Entity’s use of Your Photo/Video Submission and Your Likeness, and you agree not to sue or assert any claim against the Contest Entity relating to their use of Your Photo/Video Submission or Your Likeness.
   
8. Prizes: A total of four (4) prizes will be awarded in the Contest. One (1) prize to the Judge’s selection in the video category, one (1) prize to the People’s Choice in the photo category, one (1) prize to the Judge’s selection in the video category and one (1) prize to the People’s Choice selection in the video category:
   
   One (1) prize to the Judge’s selection in the photo category – Olympus Stylus Tough 6040 14MP digital camera. One (1) prize to the People’s Choice in the photo category – Kodak EasyShare M590 14MP digital camera. One (1) prize to the Judge’s selection in the video category – Cobra HDVC5100 digital camcorder with a gadget bag and tripod. One (1) prize to the People’s Choice selection in the video category – Cobra HDVC6000 Solar digital camcorder.
   
   Total maximum ARV of all prizes: $858. Prizes are not transferable. No cash redemptions. No substitutions, except that Contest Entity reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All prizes will be awarded provided they are properly claimed in accordance with these Official Rules and a sufficient number of eligible entries are received. Limit one (1) prize per household. If a prize winner is 18 but deemed a minor in his/her state of residence, the prize will be awarded on behalf of the minor to his/her parent or legal guardian, who must comply with the prize claim requirements set forth below.
   
   Winners will be notified by, on or about April 26, 2011 via email. As a condition of entering prize, winners will be required to supply contact information including, but not limited to name, phone number and email address. Personal information will be used solely to distribute prizes and will not be used for marketing purposes. Once notified, winners must then complete an affidavit of eligibility, copyright license agreement and liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be signed and returned to Contest Entity within ten (10) days of Contest Entity's postmark. Failure to timely sign and return this affidavit, agreement and release may result in the applicable winner's disqualification, forfeiture of all interest in prizes, and the selection of a substitute winner. Prizes not won and claimed by an eligible winner in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Contest Entity. 9. Additional Information: Contest Entity will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or other materials or announcements relating to the Contest. Contest Entity reserves the right to disqualify anyone found to be tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of the Contest as determined by Contest Entity in its sole discretion. Contest Entity also reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest if tampering, viruses, bugs or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Contest Entity corrupt the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated end date, Contest Entity reserves the right to choose winners from among the Photo Submissions entered prior to the early termination date.
